Willow Tree Vows (and now tattoos!)

Maureen and Taylor exchanged vows – with lots of happy tears – under the weeping willow, surround by their friends and family. It was a glorious, warm September day with blue bird skies, music, kids, dogs and yard games, great food, happy-tears toasts and get-down dancing that culminated with a silent disco. It was a soul-filling kind-of love that framed their wedding day; a deep love for the ages. We love you and wish you the best on your marriage journey, Maureen and Taylor! (P.S. – they got matching willow tree tattoos. Da’ bomb!!)

Kind Words

Maureen & Taylor
"We thought finding a wedding venue that was welcoming (not just tolerant) of two women getting married in Northern MI would be a daunting experience. From the moment we met Meagan and John at Starry Night Barn, all we felt was love. Maureen and I have shared our lives together for six years and on 9/15/18, with all of our family/friends present, we said "I do" under the whimsically sprawling willow tree on the barn's grounds. From our first toast under the history laden beams of the barn, to sharing sunset embraces in the picturesque orchard, Starry Night Barn literally created the best day of our lives. The convenience of the cottages the night/day before your wedding is an absolute must. The "day of gitters" seemed to melt in knowing our day was set up the night before. From the claw foot tub, air conditioned room, and outside shower- the old world charm met with modern day convenience makes the cottages a dream. We truly could not think of a more perfect venue for us to solidify our commitment to each other and love then at this venue. These memories are now part of the foundation in which we will continue to grow together in this adventure of marriage. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping facilitate the best day of our lives (so far:) ). With love and gratitude, Maureen and Taylor - Maureen & Taylor
