Starry Night Barn Wedding Weekends

We are committed to offering our clients the time and space to create and experience their wedding.  Here at Starry Night Barn & Studios, clients get the whole place for the whole weekend (and you can add more nights if available too).  There is no rush to set things up and then tear it all down hours later. Couples, their families and friends have the opportunity to fully share their experience and be present.  There is a pervasive sense of calm and peace here, with 29 acres of beautiful, natural lands of forested hills, fields, grassy knolls, and orchards – with just enough landscaping and planning to render a purposeful design without losing the farm feel. It’s gorgeous when it’s raining, when the fog rolls over the hills, when big clouds loom over our giant cottonwoods and maples or when the sun warms the creek and illuminates the barn interior like a cathedral.  We encourage our guests to get out and experience Leelanau County and our local Suttons Bay shops and restaurants. A jaunt to Tandem Ciders is a must (it’s truly just a jaunt in aour country-living existence) or visit our area trails and beaches to help reset the mind and body.  We’re all about embracing full, unrushed celebrations of love and commitment (and really beautiful and fun barn decor!)

Peak Season, 2022 (Memorial Day weekend through the 3rd weekend of October)

  • Barn, property and both cottages (log and stone) for two nights (Fri-Sat or Sat-Sun); includes 5′ round tables: $7,850. For Clients choosing to rent their own tables (clients who want all long tables, for example): $7,600.
  • Additional nights in cottages, if available. Cottages sleep up to 4 each: $200-$210/night
  • Optional onsite Ceremony (includes chairs and site set-up and break down): $650
  • Referrals for Day-of-Wedding Coordinator for full Decor and logistics help: Let us set you up!
  • Optional public address system for toasts and music or for ceremony amplification: $240
  • Optional Rehearsal Dinner on Friday in Barn Lounge or Sunday Brunch: $650
  • For events of 125 people or more add $250; for events of 175 or more add $480 and for large weddings of 225 and up, add $620
  • Flip Fee (for clients doing a ceremony in the barn and then we break it down and reset for reception. Covers additional staffing): $325

Off-Peak season, 2022 (2nd and 3rd weekends in May and the 4th weekend of October)

  • Off-peak rental (barn, cottages for two nights, reception tables, property set-up access): $7,450. For Clients choosing to rent their own tables (Clients who want long tables, for example): $7,200.
  • Additional nights in cottages, if available: $180-205/night
  • Optional onsite Ceremony (includes chairs, site set-up and break down): $650
  • Rferral for Day-of-Wedding Coordinator for full Decor and logistics help: Let us set you up!
  • Optional public address system for toasts and music or ceremony amplification: $240
  • Optional Rehearsal Dinner on Friday in Barn Lounge or Sunday Brunch: $650

2023 Rates: Mid May through the last weekend of October

  • Barn, property and both cottages (log and stone) for two nights (Fri-Sat or Sat-Sun): $8,050.  For Clients choosing to rent their own tables (clients who want all long tables, for example): $7,800.
  • Main Farmhouse rental: Main Farmhouse is 3200 sq. ft. and sleeps up to 18 guests with 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Minimum rental is 2 nights (the night of the event and the night prior); up to two additional rental nights may be requested but are subject to SNB&S approval: $1,800. Cost includes: $700/night rental, cleaning fee/linens fee and MI Use tax.
  • Additional nights in cottages, if available. Cottages sleep up to 4 guests each: $200-$215/night
  • Optional onsite Ceremony: $650
  • Referral for Planners / Day-of-Wedding Coordinators: Let us set you up! *Note – a Day of Coordinator is required for all SNB clients.
  • Optional public address system for toasts and music: $240
  • Optional Rehearsal Dinner on Friday in Lower Barn Lounge or Sunday Brunch.  The barn loun ge can accommodate up to 65 for a sit down dinner: $650
  • For events of 125 people or more add $260; for events of 175 or more add $490 and for large weddings of 225 and up, add $620
  • Flip Fee (for clients doing a ceremony in the barn and then we break it down and reset for reception. Covers additional staffing): $325
  • Both Cottages for Friday and Saturday Nights or Saturday and Sunday Nights, your choice.  You can reserve additional nights in the cottages, if available.  The cottages sleep up to 4 people.  The cottages are a great spot for wedding party readiness!! The cottages are included with the base weekend contract.
  • Starting in spring 2022, the main farmhouse is available at additonal cost to rent for the weekend (Fri-Sat nights minimum) with an option to add extra nights.  The Farmhouse sleeps 18 in 5 bedrooms with 4 bathrooms.
  • Access to the barn, studio and grounds for reception set-up at 11am the day of check-in. The place is yours until you check-out (10 am Sunday). No rush to set-up and tear down.
  • The barn can accommodate 299 for a sit down dinner.
  • Lower barn lounge for cocktail hour.
  • Two bars: One Bar upstairs on the main level and in one in barn lower lounge.
  • Multiple spaces for up to a 60 x 90 tent near the barn, if needed.
  • Chairs for up to 299 guests for on-site ceremony option and reception, if needed.
  • Deck off back of barn with double sliders.
  • Lower Barn Lounge with bar area and tables, lounge seating.
  • Barn, Studio and cottages have wireless internet, formidable power and sound system for music.
  • Entire barn meets load code so set-up options are endless; you can locate the dance floor wherever you like.
  • Bonfire pit with lots of seating, wood provided, and bonifre tended
  • Numerous outdoor sitting areas
  • Numerous ceremony site options (in addition to the barn)
  • Easy access for caterers
  • Heaters, if needed
  • Back-up generators
  • Men’s and Women’s bathrooms in the Studio Building across from the barn
  • All facilities, parking, pathways, and barn meet required accessibility and fire safety codes.
